§ Mr. CarmichaelAny extension of the speed limit on this length of road is, in the first instance, the responsibility of the Surrey County Council. Should the Council decide formally to seek my right hon. Friend's consent to such an extension, she will, of course, carefully consider their proposal. I understand that they will be considering the matter shortly.
