HC Deb 04 December 1967 vol 755 cc240-1W
Mr. Maclennan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will now introduce legislation to give greater security of tenure to the tenant farmer in Scotland.

Mr. Ross

Yes. I propose to take an early opportunity to introduce legislation to modify, in the interests of near relatives of the deceased tenant, the landlord's present unrestricted right to give an incontestable notice to quit to the successor to an agricultural holding.
