asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will state the number of industrial development certificates approved in Wales in each of the years 1957 to 1967, and the amount of industrial building approved for each of those years, together with the corresponding figures for the regions of the North-West and South-West.

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will name the advance factories which have been built in Wales since October, 1964, but which are untenanted, and state his estimate of the number of persons each one, respectively, will employ.

Of the 32 advance factories in Wales announced in Board of Trade programmes since October, 1964, the following are completed but untenanted. The number of jobs which they will provide will depend on the type of project attracted.

  • Ammanford No. 1.
  • Fforestfach No. 1.
  • Fforestfach No. 2.
  • Holyhead No. 2 (allocated but not yet occupied).
  • Kenfig.
  • Maesteg No. 1.
  • Merthyr Tydfil No. 1.
  • Milford Haven No. 2.
  • Neath.
  • Pontardawe No. 1.
  • Pwllheli.
  • Ynyscedwyn No. 1.
  • Ynyscedwyn No. 2.
  • Ystalyfera (allocated but not yet occupied).

Of the 32 advance factories for Wales announced in Board of Trade programmes since October, 1964, one at Pontardulais and another at Blaenau Ffestiniog have been completed and are tenanted. I cannot reveal the employment figures for two undertakings.
