Mr. Edward M. Taylorasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware that the charges for car parking imposed by the corporation of Glasgow have been increased by amounts between 33 and 100 per cent.; and if he will take steps to investigate the reasons for the increase and whether they conform with the prices and incomes policy.
§ Mr. RossThese are increases in off-street parking charges, which do not need my approval. I have ascertained the reasons for them and I am satisfied that this is not a case in which the Government would wish to intervene.
