§ Mr. Denis HowellIn the financial year 1966–67 73 offers of grant, totalling £164,116, were made under the Physical Training and Recreation Act, 1937, and the Social and Physical Training Grant Regulations, 1939, to voluntary organisations in Wales for the provision of new or extended amenities and the purchase of equipment. Nine grants were made towards the cost of village halls, 41 to local clubs and organisations for the provision of playing fields and other sports facilities, and 23 grants for the provision of buildings and equipment for the youth service.
