Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he has yet considered the letter dated 17th April, 1967, from the hon. and learned Member for Aberdeen, North, listing the advantages which the amenities and beauties Aberdeen offers to the staff of the proposed new Royal Mint; and if he will now announce his decision to site the new Royal Mint in the city of Aberdeen.

Mr. MacDermot

I would refer my hon. and learned Friend to the reply my right hon. Friend gave to the hon. Members for Antrim, South (Sir Knox Cuningham) and Oxford (Mr. Luard) on 25th April, 1967—[Vol. 745, c. 1330–37.]
