HC Deb 26 April 1967 vol 745 c312W
Mr. Lubbock

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will take steps to encourage local authorities to purchase controlled dwellings; and if he will state his policy on the criteria determining the price to be paid to landlords for such properties.

Mr. MacColl

My right hon. Friend would consider any such proposal in the light of the particular circumstances; the price would depend on the legislation and, in case of dispute, on the decision of the Lands Tribunal.

Mr. Lubbock

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will estimate the present number of controlled dwellings in Greater London, England and Wales, and Great Britain, respectively.

Mr. MacColl

I cannot add to the reply given to the Question by the hon. Member on 20th March.—[Vol. 743, c.206.]
