§ 71. Mr. Brooksasked the President of the Board of Trade which Chambers of Commerce have objected to the request of the Birkenhead Chamber of Commerce that it should change its name to Birkenhead and Wirral Chamber of Commerce; and, in view of the fact that the Birkenhead chamber has more members within the Wirral peninsula than any other chamber, if he will now agree to this request.
§ Mr. JayThe Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ellesmere Port Chamber of Commerce have objected. I am not prepared to agree to the change of name proposed as I am not satisfied that the Birkenhead 293W Chamber of Commerce represents a majority of the commercial concerns in the Wirral outside Birkenhead.
