HC Deb 25 April 1967 vol 745 c259W
117. Mr. McMaster

asked the Minister of Power what is his estimate of the likely average load factor of electricity generating plant for each year to 1970, and for 1975.

Mr. Marsh

The Central Electricity Generating Board's present average load factor is about 46 per cent.; this is expected to fall to about 42 per cent. over the next few years as plant margins improve.

In planning its plant margins for the early 1970s, the C.E.G.B. assumes an average load factor of 45 per cent.
