HC Deb 21 April 1967 vol 745 cc176-7W
Mr. Bruce-Gardyne

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will give a breakdown of net Government overseas current expenditure in 1966, as set out in table 15 of Command Paper No. 3244, on military services administration and diplomatic services, military grants, economic grants and other transfers, respectively, by geographical areas, and a breakdown of subscriptions and contributions to international organizations by type of organization.

Mr. MacDermot

The information is given in the following table:

the period of severe restraint, and whether the date of announcement or the date of payment of the dividend is the operative date for the prices and incomes policy.

Mr. Callaghan

I have been asked to reply.

For the purpose of Cmnd. 3235, the 20th July will mark the beginning of the year in which companies should exercise moderation in distributions consistent with the principles of the White Paper. The date of payment is the operative date.
