HC Deb 21 April 1967 vol 745 cc193-4W
Mr. Oakes

asked the Attorney-General if he will introduce legislation to amend Section 89(c) of the County Courts Act, 1959 so as to allow solicitors to address a county court as agent for another solicitor and thereby bring to an end an unnecessary and expensive legal restrictive practice.

The Attorney-General

I do not think it would be desirable to consider a change in the law which might seriously affect the relationship between the two branches of the legal profession before the Monopolies Commission has completed its inquiry into the professions.
