Mr. Geoffrey Lloydasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he will examine and take steps to publicise the experience of the West Midlands in using the further education system to help the middle-age range of 128W industrial managers and executives to keep abreast of new ideas and methods in their own fields.
§ Mr. Goronwy RobertsThe right hon. Gentleman is no doubt referring to the valuable experiment recently mounted in the West Midlands on the initiative of the Regional Economic Planning Council and the Regional Advisory Council for Further Education. The Department has already co-operated in providing publicity for this work and when the results of the first courses are known we shall certainly consider what more can be done in this direction.
