§ 63. Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Minister of Power what protective measures against the leakage of oil, damage to fisheries and spoliation of British beaches are included in the licences he grants to persons and companies to drill for oil and gas in the North Sea; and in how many and which cases breaches of these protective measures have been reported to him.
§ Mr. MarshLicensees are required to take all practicable steps to prevent the escape of petroleum into the sea.
No breaches of these requirements have been reported to me.
