HC Deb 14 April 1967 vol 744 c257W
Sir R. Russell

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will reconsider his decision to refuse approval for the erection of an old people's home on the Vicarage Paddock, Tokyngton, Wembley, in view of the fact that the site is quite as accessible to shops and public transport as other old people's homes in Wembley.

Mr. Mellish

The site to which the hon. Member refers is by no means ideal, but my right hon. Friend understands that the council considers it the best site available in that part of the borough, and he is awaiting further details from them. He has not given a final decision.
