§ Mr. Onslowasked the Minister of Labour what increase or decrease there has been in the staff of his Department since 16th October, 1964; and what increase or decrease he anticipates in the period up to 15th October, 1967.
§ Mr. GunterThe date nearest to 16th October, 1964, for which statistics are available is 1st October, 1964. On that date there were in my Department 21,418 staff. By 1st April, 1967, there had been an increase of 6,195. It is expected that by October, 1967, the total number of staff will increase by about 2,000.
