Mr. Dalyell

asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will state the total cost of the bomb modification programme which will enable Phantoms and F111s to use existing ammunition.

Mr. Mason

No. I told my hon. Friend on 7th April what it will cost to modify each bomb. It would not be in the public interest to divulge also the number of modified bombs we shall have. —[Vol. 744, c.105.]
