§ 72. Mr. Kelleyasked the Minister of Transport if she will take steps to ensure that no vehicle is allowed to carry loads of granulated minerals unless they are effectively covered to prevent spillage.
§ Mr. SwinglerProvisions to ensure the safe loading of vehicles are already included in Regulation 75 of the Motor Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations, 1966. We have no evidence that spillage of granulated materials at present creates a significant hazard to safety. If my hon. Friend has any particular case in mind I should be pleased to have information about it.
