§ Q8. Sir B. Jannerasked the Prime Minister whether he is aware that out of approximately 290 Government directors on company boards numbering 45 in all, only 16 are women, of whom 10 are directors of the National Institute of House-craft; and whether he will arrange at some suitable opportunity to increase the proportion of women Government directors on such boards.
§ The Prime MinisterThe Government seek the best people available and we shall be glad to see an increase in the number of women as opportunities for this occur.
