§ Mr. Eldon Griffithsasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will publish a table of the number of policemen of more than two years' service who resigned from police forces in England and Wales in each of the calendar years from 1960 to 1965, and during the first nine months of 1966; and, 25W as far as can be ascertained, what were the principal reasons given for these resignations.

Figures for recruitment are also up, resulting in a net increase in police strength in each year since 1960.
The reasons for premature resignations are being studied by the Working Party on Manpower, set up under the Police Advisory Board. Their Report is expected soon.
