§ Mr. PadleyThere are currently 25 British staff employed in the office of the British Chargé d'Affaires, Peking, of whom three are engaged full-time on commercial work. One member of the Charge d'Affaires' office is stationed in Shanghai to look after the affairs of British nationals. He is not a commercial officer. There are no British staff elsewhere in China.
