§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Minister of Technology whether he is aware that prices of cars are to be increased; and, as this is contrary to the Government's prices and incomes policy, what action he proposes to take to prevent these increases.
§ Mr. BennAll car prices are subject to the standstill arrangements described in the White Paper on Prices and Incomes (Cmnd. 3073) and my Department will continue to examine rigorously any proposals for increases.
