Friend is referring to the informal meeting I had on 3rd October, I listened to their representations about the employment position in the British Motor Corporation, with particular reference to the question of consultation with the workers concerned, and sought by means of questions to elucidate further points about their opening statements. Most of the points raised were subsequently taken up by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour with the management of the British Motor Corporation.
