§ Mr. PrenticeMeans of achieving a more economical use of imported materials are being studied by the Government Departments concerned and I have asked the building industry to use all imported materials, including timber, as economically as possible. But both timber and bricks are required in quantity if the housing needs of the nation are to be met with the labour force likely to be available.
