asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if a new level of remuneration for general practitioners in inducement practices in Scotland, formerly fixed at £2,550 per annum, was envisaged before the onset of the pay standstill.

Yes; and I am reviewing the level of inducement payments in consultation with the profession as part of the settlement arrived at on the basis of the Review Body's Seventh Report.
