§ Mr. CallaghanThe external sterling holdings with U.K. banks of central monetary institutions in overseas countries were £2,392 million at the end of June, 1966; of which £1,879 million related to overseas sterling area countries and £513 million to non-sterling area countries. Figures 133W for Government holdings as such and for the holdings of individual countries cannot be provided.
