HC Deb 18 October 1966 vol 734 c2W
Mr. Murton

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government how much of the money advanced to the Housing Corporation under the Housing Act, 1964, has already been spent; how much has been firmly committed for existing and future building projects; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Mellish

Up to 10th October, 1966, £4,918,567 had been spent by the Housing Corporation. The Corporation is firmly committed to schemes costing £31,923,129. Two-thirds of this sum is however expected to be provided by building societies.

The Corporation's Annual Report for the year ended 31st March, 1966, will be laid before the House tomorrow.
