Mr. Alan Williamsasked the Minister of Labour how many applications his Department has received for registration of establishments entitled to premiums or refunds of the Selective Employment Tax.
§ Mr. Gunter53,151 applications for registration of establishments were received by my Department up to the end of October, 1966. It is important that registrations should be completed by 31st December so that work in connection with the first repayments can go ahead as quickly as possible. I would therefore urge employers who may be eligible for repayments and who have not so far applied to register their establishments to do so without further delay.
