§ Mr. Tom McMillanasked the Minister of Transport whether she will make a statement on the progress and use of freight liner terminals; and what use is being made of British Railways workshops to provide equipment.
§ Mrs. Castle3,908 freightliner containers were dealt with during October 1966 at the four terminals which were then in operation. A fifth terminal at Aberdeen was opened on 31st October. All 175 freightliner wagons and 575 of the 625 containers at present in use have been built in British Railways' workshops.
