§ Mr. David Howellasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what further ideas he has received from the British Bacon Curers' Association for remedying the worsened situation in the bacon-curing industry; what consideration he has given to them; and if he will now make a clarifying statement on his intentions as to the future of the industry.
§ Mr. PeartRepresentatives of the British Bacon Curers' Federation met me last week and put proposals to me for meeting the present difficulties of the curing industry. I undertook to consider them as quickly as possible, and this I am doing. I can say nothing more at this stage.
