§ Mr. Elystan Morganasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will cause a survey to be made of tracts of land available for reclamation in Wales.
§ Mr. John MackieOfficers in this Department have been engaged over the past two years on a systematic survey of land classification in Wales. The maps when completed will show the location of land, mainly rough grazings, of low agricultural value at present: and will thus give some indication of the land which might be suitable for reclamation. Grants for the improvement of land by way of drainage and other works including reclamation are being made regularly by the Ministry.
