§ Mr. Ron Lewisasked the President of the Board of Trade why no effort was made to have Great Britain represented at the present International Food Fair, when the potential market for British foodstuffs is so considerable.
§ Mr. MasonMy Department offered to support a display of British foodstuffs at the International Food Exhibition in Paris. The industry, through the Food Manufacturers' Federation, decided that because of the restrictions on imports of many British foodstuffs, the opportunities of increased sales to France were not sufficient to warrant a major British participation. British foodstuffs were, however, prominently represented in the British Week at Lyons, for which a special import quota was obtained.
