HC Deb 21 November 1966 vol 736 cc212-3W
51. Mr. Scott

asked the Minister of Social Security whether she will alter the appropriate regulations so as to allow a pensioned widow who remarries and whose second husband dies before they have been married for three years, to draw again the widow's pension which she was receiving before her second marriage.

Mr. Pentland

No. The regulations already enable a widow who had a National Insurance widow's pension before her second marriage to draw a pension on her second husband's insurance in these circumstances. If the hon. Member has a particular case in mind, I should of course be pleased to look into it.
