§ Mr. Loveysasked the Minister of Transport if she is aware that confusion still exists about the purpose of the school entrance box markings outside certain schools; and, in so far as the purpose is that this area should be kept clear of stationary vehicles, if she will erect signs to make this clear.
§ Mr. John MorrisWe are investigating to what extent these markings are generally misunderstood or ignored and how far this is by parents taking children to and from school or by the general 227W public. In the light of this inquiry we will consider what further measures are necessary and I will write to the hon. Member.
