HL Deb 16 November 1966 vol 277 c1344WA
VISCOUNT COLVILLE OF CULROSS

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they can give figures, revised from those stated on July 26, 1966, for the number of projects and for the cost of those projects, in a year, which—

  1. (a) would have required a licence under the Building Control Act 1966 if the cost limit of exemption under Section 2 of that Act had remained at £100,000; and
  2. (b) will require a licence now that the cost limit for exemption had been reduced to £50,000,
taking account of the other measures of restraint on the level of demand which have been introduced by Her Majesty's Government.

LORD HILTON OF UPTON

Experience does not yet suggest the need to revise significantly downwards the estimates given on July 26 last.

House adjourned at five minutes before seven o'clock
