§ 77. Mr. Bostonasked the Secretary of State for Defence how much of the cost of maintaining British forces in Brunei is borne by the Government of the Sultan of Brunei and how much by Her Majesty's Government.
§ Mr. HealeyThe total cost of British forces stationed in Brunei is about £1.2 million a year. The Brunei Government contributes some £450,000 a year in cash and free supplies and in addition it has paid for works services to the value of about £1.4 million over the past three years.
