HC Deb 15 November 1966 vol 736 cc84-5W
Sir C. Osborne

asked the Minister of Labour if he is aware that the Yorkshire Area Council of the National Union of Mineworkers has refused to co-operate with the National Coal Board in the closure of two Monckton collieries next month; and, in view of the fact that 1,600 miners' jobs are involved, if he will intervene in this trade dispute.

Mr. Gunter

I understand that the Yorkshire Area Council of the union decided on 14th November to recommend full co-operation in redeployment.
