asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what were the total numbers of hill cows and hill sheep receiving subsidy in 1956, 1961 and 1966, and the total numbers of store cattle and store lambs sold off hill farms in those years,

The numbers in Scotland which received subsidy are as follows:

I regret that figures of sales of store animals off hill farms are not available.
