HC Deb 15 November 1966 vol 736 c97W
Mr. Hooson

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many men are currently employed by the Forestry Commission in Mid-Wales; and whether this number has increased or decreased since 1964.

Mr. Cledwyn Hughes

About 900, which is about 125 less than the number employed at 30th September, 1964. The main reason for the decline is the shortage of land for planting and increased productivity.
