HC Deb 15 November 1966 vol 736 cc55-6W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what civil servants have received increases in their salaries since 20th July 1966, and for what purposes; what were the amounts of increases in each case; and what were the salaries received in each case, prior to incremental and/or other increases.

Mr. Callaghan

Those civil servants who have, for example, received promotion to higher work or are eligible for annual increments, which are not affected by the standstill will have received higher pay since 20th July. It would be too costly to provide details of each individual case.
