§ Mr. Barnettasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how much of the offset agreement with West Germany for the two years to 31st March, 1966, has now been spent; and by what date he estimates the whole of the amount will be spent.
§ Mr. CallaghanPayments actually made in the period 1st April, 1964, to 31st March, 1966, including payments from the Advance Payments Account set up in July, 1965, amounted to £62.3 million. As to the date by which payments attributable to Article 5 of the Protocol of 20th July, 1965, will be completed, I have nothing to add to the forecast made in the reply given to the hon. Member by the Chief Secretary on 5th May, 1966.—[Vol. 728, c.155.]

§ Mr. Barnettasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will give a schedule of the goods sold against the offset agreement with West Germany for the two years to 31st March, 1966.
§ Mr. CallaghanThe arrangements under the offset agreement comprise both military and civilian sales, and details of arms sales overseas are not normally disclosed. Civilian sales comprise over 1,500 separate items and a schedule would not be practicable.
