HC Deb 09 November 1966 vol 735 c319W
Mr. Rankin

asked the Minister of Labour to what extent redundancies in the motor industry in England are creating unemployment in related industries in Scotland; and what steps he is taking to deal with the matter.

Mr. Gunter

So far the effects have been small. I am watching the situation closely and my officers are doing all they can to help the 112 workers declared redundant in vehicle component firms in Scotland and the workers declared redundant at B.M.C., Bathgate and Rootes, Linwood.
