§ 51. Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Minister of Power if he is aware that the Dutch Government makes it a condition in licences they grant to search for and exploit gas and oil in the Dutch part of the Continental Shelf that the State should take a proportion of the accruing benefits; and if he will make a similar condition in future licences which he grants to search for and exploit 246W gas and oil in the British part of the Continental Shelf.
§ Dr. BrayMy right hon. Friend is aware that the Dutch Government are considering the conditions under which licences will be granted. Terms for the granting of future licences to operate in the British sector of the Continental Shelf will be considered at the appropriate time.
