As part of my Department's monthly employment survey, the number of engagements made by a sample of employers with establishments in manufacturing industries is collected quarterly and labour turnover rates are calculated. The information about engagements does not show in which industries the workers concerned were last employed and it would be very costly both to employers and my Department to obtain and process this additional information.
