§ Mr. Parkasked the Minister of Transport what objections she has received to the proposed removal of Long Eaton 190W directional signs fom the M1-A52 interchange near Sandiacre; and whether in view of these objections she will reconsider her decision.
§ Mr. SwinglerAdditional directional signs of the normal motorway pattern are now being installed, after which it is proposed to remove the present temporary signs. We shall reply shortly to renewed objections from Long Eaton U.D.C. about the removal of these, but on present information we are unlikely to change our view that motorists should experience no further difficulty, though we are prepared to reconsider the matter if the new signs prove inadequate.
