HC Deb 04 November 1966 vol 735 c196W
Mr. Onslow

asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether, in the interests of staff economy, he will institute a system of acknowledging correspondence by printed cards, as is the practice of a number of other Departments, instead of by typed and signed letters at present.

Mr. Healey

Most correspondence received in my Department is already acknowledged by printed cards. The number of typed acknowledgements, usually relating to Ministerial correspondence, is quite small.
