§ Mr. Onslowasked the Secretary of State for Defence whether, in the interests of staff economy, he will institute a system of acknowledging correspondence by printed cards, as is the practice of a number of other Departments, instead of by typed and signed letters at present.
§ Mr. HealeyMost correspondence received in my Department is already acknowledged by printed cards. The number of typed acknowledgements, usually relating to Ministerial correspondence, is quite small.
