HC Deb 02 November 1966 vol 735 c87W
16. Mr. Bessell

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what regulations he proposes to introduce to prevent the activities of skin divers from interfering with the trade of legitimate fishermen.

63. Mr. Geoffrey Wilson

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what recent representations he has received of skin divers pilfering from crab and lobster pots on the coasts of Devon and Cornwall; and what steps he proposes to take to protect inshore fishermen from this nuisance.

Mr. Hoy

My right hon. Friend has received representations from the Devon Sea Fisheries Committee. Potters have the usual legal remedies, and we know of no steps we can take for their further protection.
