HC Deb 02 November 1966 vol 735 c122W
Mr. Brooks

asked the Minister of Aviation by what criteria materials and components to be employed on the Concord project will be sought from outside Great Britain and France.

Mr. Mulley

It is agreed Anglo-French policy to select British or French suppliers wherever possible. Only in exceptional circumstances and where there is an overriding technical, commercial or delivery advantage would a supplier from a third country be selected.

Mr. Brooks

asked the Minister of Aviation whether he will now accept the forecast of the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation that there will prove to be a market for some 300 Concords.

Mr. Mulley

It is not for me to accept or reject this forecast. I have however noted it with interest.
