HC Deb 02 November 1966 vol 735 c134W
Mr. Brooks

asked the President of the Board of Trade what plans exist for improving communications and speeding passenger traffic between each of the major airports of Great Britain and their neighbouring urban centres during the next decade.

Mr. Mason

I understand that the plans of the highway authorities for all major centres include elements which would benefit airport communications.

The possibility of improved systems of public transport is also being currently examined, notably in the study of airport links by the Transport Co-ordinating Council for London and in the Manchester Rapid Transit Study, to both of which the Government are contributing resources.
