§ Mr. Buchanan-Smithasked the Minister of Labour how many of those made redundant in Scotland as a result of the Government's policy have applied for 81W retraining courses; how many have been accepted; and whether he is satisfied that the capacity of the retraining centres and the range of courses are adequate.
§ Mrs. Shirley WilliamsExcept in the case of large-scale redundancies at particular companies, it is not possible to distinguish statistically between redundant workers and other unemployed workers.
