Friend for this opportunity to remind local education authorities and school governors that I encourage the dual use of school premises where this is a practicable and economical arrangement. The Department has given guidance in Circular 11/64, issued in conjunction with the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, and in its Building Bulletins and I have drawn attention to this question on many occasions. I expect the Regional Sports Councils to examine the situation in detail.
